Halloween Scavenger Hunt - This Halloween, plan on a neighborhood scavenger hunt. Spooky decor can be just as exciting to explore and a great way to enjoy being outside before it’s too cold out. Decorate special pumpkins and place them around your neighborhood for kids to find.
Halloween Parade - Coordinate with parents around your neighborhood for a Halloween parade. Plan on the kids and parents to stay in their own yards while neighbors drive or walk past and gently toss treats parade-style. This way your child will get to show off their costume and receive candy, without getting too close.
Reverse Trick-or-Treat - Have family and friends drop off treats for your child at your doorstep – a contactless twist on the trick-or-treating tradition.
Candy Distribution - You may need to think a little out of the box on this one, but you can build a slide system to pass out candy from your door, down to kids on the sidewalk several feet away. Or, purchase a long-handled lacrosse stick and pass candy out from a distance. Bonus points for incorporating the new items into your costume or Halloween décor!
