John Dicus

John B. Dicus, Chief Executive Officer

John B. Dicus became Chief Executive Officer of Capitol Federal January 1, 2003. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Corporate Services and various other positions since 1985. A graduate of Topeka West High School, Mr. Dicus continued his studies at the University of Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science degree and his Master in Business Administration.

Dicus leads the True Blue® team of almost 1,000 employees with strength, vision and moral standards that are hard to match in the business world. He shares these values with every organization he serves. Dicus serves as a as trustee for the Capitol Federal® Foundation, Washburn University Endowment, University of Kansas Endowment Association, and Emporia State Business School Advisory Council. He is Past Board Chair of Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, Past United Way Campaign Chair and Past General Chair of Missouri Valley Swimming.

Kent Townsend

Kent Townsend, Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Kent Townsend joined Capitol Federal in 1984. After serving many financial related positions, including Financial Planning and Analyst Officer and Controller, he was promoted to Executive Vice President-Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Capitol Federal in 2005. He played a pivotal role in guiding Capitol Federal through becoming both a partially public and then fully public company.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Washburn University. Townsend also volunteers with the United Way, Kansas State and actively supports the performing arts and his church. Kent Townsend exemplifies CapFed’s corporate philosophies of Strength, Stability and Security.
Rick Jackson

RICK JACKSON, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT - CHIEF LENDING OFFICER

Rick Jackson serves as Executive Vice President-Chief Lending Officer and Community Development Director of Capitol Federal. He has been with the Bank since 1993 and has held the position of Community Development Director since that time. He has held the position of Chief Lending Officer since February 2010. Jackson works with community groups, city and state officials and non-profit organizations to help determine housing and credit needs in the communities Capitol Federal serves. His work has opened doors for many new homeowners who otherwise may have had difficulty purchasing a home.

From Baker University, Jackson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and is dedicated to community service and improvement. Jackson is actively involved with many organizations, including Midwest Housing Equity, Inc., United Way of Greater Topeka, Kansas African-American Male Leadership Council, Kansas City Urban Bankers Association, GO Topeka and the Topeka Business Improvement District. He also serves as a Capitol Federal Foundation Trustee.
Natalie Haag

NATALIE HAAG, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT - GENERAL COUNSEL

Natalie Haag joined Capitol Federal in 2012, accepting the newly established position of Executive Vice President-General Counsel for Capitol Federal. A member of the Kansas Bar since 1985 and licensed to practice law in all Kansas State and Federal Courts, she received her undergraduate degree in 1982 from Kansas State University and her Juris Doctorate in 1985 from Washburn University School of Law. Before joining CapFed, Haag served as the Associate General Counsel/Director of Governmental Affairs for the Security Benefit Corporation. Prior to that position, she worked with the State of Kansas, serving five of her seven years as General Counsel to the Governor. Her experience also includes 11 years in civil litigation and criminal prosecution in Cowley County, Wichita and Topeka.

Tony Barry

Tony Barry, Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Services Officer

In 2018, Tony Barry joined Capitol Federal as Executive Vice President of Corporate Services. Barry comes to the Bank after being in private law practice for 29 years. He has been a partner in Barry Law Offices, LLC since 1990, and in addition to his law practice, Tony has also served as President of Associates Management Corporation. Barry received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Washburn University School of Law in 1989. He has served in the banking industry as a board member of a bank holding company in Arizona from 1998-2008.

Barry continues Capitol Federal’s corporate principal of “Commitment to the Community”. Barry’s commitment to the Topeka community is reflected by his former service as the President of the Active Topeka 20-30 Club, Advisory Board Member for CASA Topeka, CASA Finance Committee, President of the Hayden High School Foundation Board, and Hayden High School Board of Trustees, as well as his longstanding membership in the Topeka and Kansas Bar Associations.

Billy Skrobacz jr., Executive Vice President, Chief Retail Operations officer

Billy Skrobacz Jr. joined Capitol Federal as our Chief Strategy Officer in July of 2021 after finishing his MBA from The University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Starting with amassing experience with Capitol Federal customers while working throughout the Bank’s branch system, he then continued by moving through various departments within the organization helping to implement efficiencies and drive growth within our lending and business development efforts, while also familiarizing himself with the Bank’s regulatory environment. Prior to his time at the Bank, he worked for Nuvasive Inc. from 2013-2021 in a Regional Sales and Operations Management capacity.  Billy was promoted in 2023 to Chief Retail Operations Officer.
