Director of Financial Advisory

I believe that success comes from continually aligning your actions with your purpose and never losing sight of the life you intend to create. This philosophy has guided my approach to leadership, service, and financial planning throughout my career.

As Director of Financial Advisory at Capitol Federal®, I help lead the growth and development of the Financial Advisory pillar within Wealth Management. My focus is on building relationships, earning trust, and helping clients connect their financial resources with the goals, values and experiences that matter most to them. I hold the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®) designations, along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). More than professional credentials, they reflect decades spent studying, refining, and mastering the disciplines of financial planning and wealth management in service of the clients and families who place their trust in me.

As a lifelong Kansan, some of the most meaningful lessons of my life came through service to others. Whether serving in the Air National Guard or being elected to a local school board, I embraced the importance of committing to a mission larger than yourself and the principle of service before self. Trusting the people beside you, accepting responsibility when you fall short and having the resilience to get back up and improve are values that have stayed with me throughout my life. Above all, I came to appreciate that the best outcomes are achieved through teamwork. Those lessons continue to shape how I lead, serve clients, and build relationships today.

Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, experimenting with sourdough bread making, preparing elaborate meals, and exploring the country in my Jeep. One memorable trip to Moab reminded me that adventure sometimes comes with a healthy dose of fear, humility, and a renewed appreciation for solid ground. Sourdough baking continues to teach many of the same lessons. No matter how much preparation goes into the process, success is never guaranteed, and occasionally the result is little more than a dense loaf and a bruised ego. Above all, my greatest joy comes from watching my children pursue their passions in music, theater, cross country, softball, and volleyball.

Of all the goals I've pursued and achievements I've celebrated, nothing compares to my greatest accomplishment: my family and the life we have built together. They remind me every day that success is not measured solely by what we achieve, but by the relationships we nurture and the legacy we leave behind.
