Michael Maxwell - Account Executive

I started my career at Capitol Federal® as a full-time teller, which gave me a strong foundation and appreciation for both employee and customer needs. Since 2007, I’ve grown within the organization through roles in consumer and mortgage lending and banking retail management. With eight years of experience in the insurance industry, I enjoy helping clients find the right insurance solutions and building meaningful relationships along the way.

I’m licensed in Kansas and Missouri for Property, Casualty, Life, and Health insurance and hold an associate’s degree in general studies from Kansas City Kansas Community College, as well as a Minister’s License from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Giving back is important to me, and I’ve proudly served on the bank’s United Way committee for 18 years. I enjoy using my creativity to connect coworkers with valuable resources and help create fun, impactful activities that benefit our community.

Born and raised in Kansas City as one of ten children, family has always been central to my life. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with my rescued pets. I’m a big animal lover and have even had a few unusual pets over the years, which always makes for a good story.
