September 16, 2025 marks 132 years of service at Capitol Federal®. This milestone offers an excellent opportunity to reflect on our history, which began in Topeka, Kansas in 1893, when 15 individuals founded the Savings and Loan Association of Topeka.
While much has changed over the past 132 years, our core values remain the same. Today, with over 600 employees and 46 branches across Kansas and into Missouri, we continue to uphold our steadfast commitment to Safety in Savings, Sound Lending Policies, Quality Customer Service, and our Commitment to Community. I’m incredibly proud of our growth, but more importantly, the formative values we’ve upheld since 1893. Remaining true to our word and being a trustworthy partner for our customers will always be paramount.
I am also proud to recognize an important milestone the Capitol Federal Foundation® reached this summer. The Foundation has given over $100 million in total giving since its inception in 1999. Every donation has gone to a deserving organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals in our communities. It is one of my highest honors to support our communities through the Capitol Federal Foundation.
