Capitol Federal® supported its local communities by delivering traditional Thanksgiving meals to nearly 200 families in need across Kansas.
In Topeka, 45 meals were delivered to area families by CapFed® employee volunteers. This is the 25th year CapFed has provided Thanksgiving meals to the local community.
Capitol Federal Chief Executive Officer John B. Dicus said, “This is a tradition we look forward to every year at Capitol Federal. We are proud to provide families in our communities with a special Thanksgiving meal that they can enjoy with their loved ones.”

The meals were purchased from Dillons located at 800 NW 25th St in Topeka, KS. Turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, 12 rolls and a pumpkin pie were included in every feast. With the help of Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka and a grant from the Capitol Federal Foundation®, the meals were delivered to Topeka households.
Outside of Topeka, Capitol Federal® partnered with the following organizations to provide meals across Kansas: The Pando Initiative, ECKAN, SOS, Inc., Mattie Rhodes Center, El Centro Inc., Salina Area United Way and Flint Hills Breadbasket.
