The new Johnson County branch at 13500 Metcalf opened in early December 1998, and customers felt lucky as they stopped by during the grand opening to "Scan-n-Win" prizes, including a grand prize of a personal home computer and printer. Winter took a break, allowing for a beautiful, bright day with temperatures in the low 60's for the ribbon cutting.
