December 21, 1971: Capitol Federal® moved west as it opened its ninth office and first Manhattan location at 14th and Poyntz. In its more than 40-year history, the branch has had only three managers: Spencer Puls, Penny Nelson and Peggy Frazier. The exterior of the 2,700 square-foot building features aggregate pre-cast concrete panels and fired-on blue glazed bricks.
