Derby Marketplace marked a significant milestone for Capitol Federal® as it became the bank's 40th location and the seventh branch in the greater Wichita area. As part of the celebration, the Capitol Federal Foundation made a generous contribution to the Derby School District USD-260 to support the purchase of "Smart Boards" for classrooms throughout the district.
The check presentation took place on October 3, just before the Derby High School football game, creating an exciting atmosphere. Following the presentation, enthusiastic employees tossed Capitol Federal footballs into the crowd, delighting attendees. One customer expressed the community's excitement about the bank's arrival, saying, "I'm so glad Capitol Federal is here. We've been waiting for you," highlighting the anticipation and support for this new branch in Derby.
