Summer of 1983: The merger of Southwest Federal Savings of Wichita into Capitol Federal® provided two new office locations. One was downtown at 130 North Market and the other was located at 4020 West Maple. The downtown office moved three times: once in 1988 to Centre City Plaza, 151 North Main; in 1992 to the Epic Center, 301 N. Main; then to Bradley Fair in 1998. Nancy Hepburn, a Southwest Federal employee, joined Capitol Federal with the merger, becoming the first West Wichita branch manager at 4020 West Maple.
