A feasibility study, conducted by management, revealed the accelerated growth of southwest Topeka and the need for a new office in the area to alleviate the sometimes overwhelming business at CapFed's Fairlawn office. In October 1981, the 29th and Wanamaker office opened with Marge Richmond transferring from the 29th and Kansas branch to the new office as manager.
