March 8, 1999: Capitol Federal's fifth in-store office, and first inside a Price Chopper location, opened at 7734 State Avenue, Kansas City, KS. This location serves as a full service branch, not only offering retail banking, but also residential mortgage and consumer lending. With the grand opening beginning on St. Patrick's Day, customers had the Luck 'o the Irish with them as they stopped by to Scan 'n Win for a prize.
