March 21, 1994: Capitol Federal® opened its 24th office and ninth in Johnson County with the completion of the Lenexa branch. With Olathe, Lenexa was among the fastest growing cities in the metro area, and aware of its potential, management decided to construct a new office at 15525 West 87th Street. Chairman John C. Dicus officially declared the office open with a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 26.
