CAPITOL FEDERAL® PROVIDES THANKSGIVING MEALS TO LOCAL FAMILIES
TOPEKA, Kan. – In the spirit of the giving season, Capitol Federal® embraced the local community by supplying traditional Thanksgiving meals to nearly 200 families across Kansas. In Topeka, more than 25 meals were delivered to area families by CapFed® employee volunteers.
Capitol Federal Chief Executive Officer John B. Dicus said, “Delivering Thanksgiving meals to our True Blue® communities is a tradition our great employee volunteers look forward to each year. Thanksgiving embodies giving back and giving thanks, and these meals offer those in need an opportunity to come together and enjoy a happy holiday. Through the Capitol Federal Foundation®, we’re proud to help make Thanksgiving just a little bit brighter for the 22nd year in a row.”
The meals were purchased from the Dillons located at 21st & Fairlawn. Turkey, potatoes, vegetables, stuffing and dessert were included in every feast. With the help of Let’s Help, Inc. and a grant from the Capitol Federal Foundation®, the meals were delivered to Topeka households.
