Go potluck. Ask everyone to bring their favorite game day dish. And to ensure variety, ask your guests to volunteer for categories.
Plan your grocery trip. In the days leading up to the Super Bowl, stores know you will be shopping for party supplies, and they’ll be doing everything they can to tempt you. Make a list before you go – and take advantage of sales!
Skip name brand items. Your guests will enjoy the chips and dip regardless of what label is on the package. Also, put your food items in decorative containers so no one will know the difference.
Decorate with your team colors. Don’t buy officially licensed flags, coasters and other gear to deck your home with team spirit. Pick up balloons, streamers, plates and napkins in your team’s colors at a dollar store and there will be no question who you’re rooting for!
