CAPITOL FEDERAL® PROVIDES THANKSGIVING MEALS TO LOCAL FAMILIES

TOPEKA, Kan. – In the spirit of the giving season, Capitol Federal® embraced the local community by supplying traditional Thanksgiving meals to more than 200 families across Kansas.  In Topeka, a total of 50 meals were delivered to area families by CapFed® employee volunteers.

Capitol Federal Chief Executive Officer John B. Dicus said, “For more than 20 years, CapFed is proud to continue a tradition of donating Thanksgiving meals to our True Blue® communities.  I sincerely thank our great employees for volunteering to deliver a traditional holiday meal to those in need.  Thanksgiving represents giving back and giving thanks, and after the challenging times we’ve all been through, the holiday means that much more this year.”

The meals were purchased from the Dillons located at 21st & Fairlawn.  Turkey, potatoes, vegetables, stuffing and dessert were included in every feast.  The 50 meals were delivered to Topeka households with the help of Let’s Help, Inc. and a grant given by the Capitol Federal Foundation®.
