CAPITOL FEDERAL’S TIFFANY SPRINGS BRANCH CELEBRATES RIBBON CUTTING WITH $10,000 DONATION TO FEED NORTHLAND KIDS

TOPEKA, Kan. – In late May, Capitol Federal® relocated and opened its newest True Blue® location at 8781 N. Ambassador Drive in the Tiffany Springs MarketCenter shopping district.  To celebrate the new branch, a ribbon cutting and grand opening were held in conjunction with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Platte County Economic Development Council.

It is tradition for the Capitol Federal Foundation® to donate to a local non-profit to help celebrate the opening of a new Capitol Federal branch.  At the ribbon cutting ceremony, Capitol Federal CEO John B. Dicus presented a replica check for $10,000 to Feed Northland Kids.  Chris Evans, Executive Director, accepted the check from the Capitol Federal Foundation®.

CEO Dicus stated, “Capitol Federal is pleased to provide this gift to Feed Northland Kids in recognition of Capitol Federal’s newest branch location.  As a part of the Northland neighborhood, CapFed® is proud to extend this gift to an organization that does so much to address weekend nutrition and hunger by providing healthy, kid-friendly foods for school-age children, living in the Northland.  This grant will further the development of an even stronger Northland community.”

Evans remarked, “Feed Northland Kids is both excited and humbled to be awarded financial support from Capitol Federal. We’ll use these funds to continue to feed families here in the Northland of Kansas City with a weekly Community Food Kit - a grocery bag filled with 16 to 18 shelf stable items, paired with a fresh loaf of bread. Imagine a new reality where a pandemic impacts the ability to have consistent, nutritious food for your family. Then imagine caring community members stepping forward to provide what you need. Good neighbors take care of each other, and we are pleased to have wonderful, caring and generous neighbors like our friends at Capitol Federal.”

The 88th & Ambassador Drive location is holding a weeklong grand opening celebration through Saturday, June 26.  Everyone is invited to visit the branch, meet the staff, enjoy light refreshments.

Michael Dwyer, Vice President-Branch Manager of the new Tiffany Springs office said, “Be sure to stop by the office to enter to win $1,000.  We’ll also have firework glasses to giveaway for the upcoming Independence Day holiday.  We are proud to have been a part of the Kansas City Northland Community for the last 10 years, and we are looking forward to your visit and the opportunity to serve you.”

This full-service branch offers a full array of services, including checking, savings and CD products, access to Treasury Management Services and a convenient meeting space for mortgage and commercial lending, trust and insurance consultations.  The office also features three teller stations, two secure drive-up lanes and a 24-hour ATM.
