A Message from Capitol Federal®

November 25, 2020

Beginning November 27, Capitol Federal will temporarily move to utilizing drive-thru only service at all of our branch locations. However, our in-store locations in Lawrence and Greater Kansas City and the KenMar branch in Wichita will remain open.

All CapFed ATMs will remain available, as well as online and mobile services. You may also call your branch for an in-person appointment or to access your safety deposit box. We’d be glad to assist you. Please visit www.capfed.com/locations for normal drive-thru hours at all our locations.

As a reminder, there are many ways CapFed® is ready to assist you if you are unable to visit one of our branches.
•    You may use True Blue Online® to access your accounts from home.  True Blue Online allows you instant access to pay bills, view transactions, check balances, send secure messages and more.  CapFed’s Mobile Banking app also allows you to access your account information and uses your smartphone’s built-in functionality to find the nearest in-network CapFed ATM.  You can also deposit checks using the Mobile Deposit feature within the TBO app.

•    You may open new accounts online using our Online Account Application. This includes Checking, Savings, Money Market Select and Certificates of Deposit. Certain restrictions may apply.
•    Our online mortgage loan application is available 24/7 at capfed.com/applynow any time you’re ready to start your home loan process.
•    As always, our dedicated CapFed Customer Support Center is here for you to address any questions or concerns related to your accounts.  Call us at 1-888-8CAPFED to speak with a knowledgeable CapFed employee.
•    You may also live-chat with a Customer Service Representative from your computer.  Visit capfed.com/contact for a fast and convenient way to get quick answers about any of our products and services.
We will provide updates to capfed.com, with important information, as well as our social media sites.  Thank you for your loyalty and trust in Capitol Federal.

Many Americans will soon receive the Economic Impact Payment, made available as part of the CARES Act. The first payments made by direct deposit are expected to arrive soon. These payments will be directly deposited into the bank account you used to receive your tax refund. If you have filed taxes for 2018 or 2019 and received an ACH direct deposit you do not need to take any action.

If you’ve filed taxes, but the IRS does not have your bank account information, the “Get My Payment” application is coming soon. This will allow you to set up direct deposit or check your payment status. Visit the IRS website for more info here: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments

If you don’t usually file taxes, the IRS established a web form for you to update your bank information to ensure you receive the funds by ACH direct deposit. Here is the form: https://www.freefilefillableforms.com/#/fd/EconomicImpactPayment

Before completing the form, remember these tips:

• You will need to provide bank account and other confidential information.
• To find this information, you can view mailed monthly statements, your issued bank checks, or your eStatement within True Blue Online® banking (check the documents tab).
• Capitol Federal’s routing number is 301171285.
• For your security, we WILL NOT disclose account numbers over the phone.
• When setting up an ACH direct deposit, you must correctly enter the account type. Please verify the account type is a Checking account (including Money Market) or Savings account before completing the form.
