A Message from Capitol Federal®

September 9, 2020

Welcome back! Beginning September 14th, we’re excited to open our doors once again and welcome you back inside all CapFed® branch locations, including our in-store branches.

In keeping with state and local mandates, masks will be required to be worn by all customers inside the branch lobbies, but we may ask you to remove it momentarily so we can positively identify you during your transaction.

To help limit the number of customers in the branch at one time, we do ask that you only bring individuals necessary for completing your transaction inside when you visit, and social distancing will be practiced inside all lobbies.

Topeka area customers: With the reopening of our branch lobbies, the temporary drive-thru location on the southwest corner of 29th and Wanamaker will close at noon on Saturday, September 12, 2020.

As always, you may continue to use the drive-thru lanes, True Blue Online® banking and Mobile Banking services for your banking needs.

Thank you for being a part of our True Blue® family, and we look forward to seeing you!

ECONOMIC IMPACT PAYMENTS

Many Americans will soon receive the Economic Impact Payment, made available as part of the CARES Act. The first payments made by direct deposit are expected to arrive soon. These payments will be directly deposited into the bank account you used to receive your tax refund. If you have filed taxes for 2018 or 2019 and received an ACH direct deposit you do not need to take any action.

If you’ve filed taxes, but the IRS does not have your bank account information, the “Get My Payment” application is coming soon. This will allow you to set up direct deposit or check your payment status. Visit the IRS website for more info here: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments

If you don’t usually file taxes, the IRS established a web form for you to update your bank information to ensure you receive the funds by ACH direct deposit. Here is the form: https://www.freefilefillableforms.com/#/fd/EconomicImpactPayment

Before completing the form, remember these tips:

• You will need to provide bank account and other confidential information.
• To find this information, you can view mailed monthly statements, your issued bank checks, or your eStatement within True Blue Online® banking (check the documents tab).
• Capitol Federal’s routing number is 301171285.
• For your security, we WILL NOT disclose account numbers over the phone.
• When setting up an ACH direct deposit, you must correctly enter the account type. Please verify the account type is a Checking account (including Money Market) or Savings account before completing the form.
