It really is a great place for building your different skills. If you have something that you're interested in, CapFed® will at least try to help you to get to that point. If you wanna do something, they'll get you to the right place. My name is Alex Caedo. My position is senior banking consultant, and I've been with CapFed for a little over seven years. Before working at CapFed, I was going to school just trying to figure out what I wanted to do. Then I started off as a part time teller, which I found out is a pretty common theme with a lot of our staff, and then worked up to our customer service representative, worked that role for about three years, went into manager and training for about eight months, and then got to my senior banking consultant role. The manager and training program was a really unique thing that CapFed started with kind of grooming different people to be ready to take over management positions if that's something that they wanted to do. But I think it helped with really building other qualities that would become beneficial in any part of the bank really. So they had me go into different branches, meeting different personnel, working with different staffs, and, just kind of growing that skill set. The fun parts about my job are definitely the people. Like I said, with manager in training, you're going to a bunch of different branches and helping out wherever is needed, but it gives you an opportunity to meet all your different coworkers and people that you work with, build those relationships, and you see a bunch of different unique cultures within those branches. And you can see how well they connect with their community, and show customers how much they really mean to us. It's it feels like a family coming into work. I've never felt I've been an outsider in any of the branches that I've worked at, and I love being able to go in and cultivate those relationships, as well as see as how those supplement me with helping customers and building relationships on that end as well. I feel like CapFed is really supportive with looking after their own. I've always felt like they've kept a good watch on the people that they're in the company and they always want to build our skill sets and help us develop to go into roles that we want to go into or if we're happy with the role that we're at they want us to keep building those skills that we can be the best we possibly can. I've been reassured so many times when I was going from CSR to manager in training they were like if you want to go a different route, we'll get you there. This is just something to help you develop your current skills. And then same thing once I went to senior banking consultant, it was like, if you want to go a different route a little bit down the line, they'll make sure I get there.
