During a New Moon is when the sky is the darkest which is the perfect time to see the wonders of the night sky. Operation Wildlife will be out there with interesting animals, and the Astronomical Society of Kansas City will provide telescopes for stargazing. Activities kick off at 6 p.m., and the Arboretum closes at 9 p.m. This experience is free with regular Arboretum admission and is open to star gazers of all ages.
