Community Events

Throughout Kansas, Capitol Federal is involved in all kinds of events, ranging from sports to the performing arts.  You might have enjoyed swimming at the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka, or seeing a show at Capitol Federal Park at Sandstone in Bonner Springs.

Maybe you even watched the spectacular fireworks display at the Wichita RiverFest … familiarly known as the "Capitol Federal Fireworks."  We take pride in the communities we serve and enjoy providing a smile to those with which we share our communities.

Starlight Theatre

Since 2007, Capitol Federal has embraced the Kansas City starlit nights with our sponsorship of the concert series at Starlight Theatre.  Each summer we send some of our area branch employees out to the venue to sign people up for the CapFed fan club.  It’s free to join, and all new members receive a free personal, battery-operated fan.  Current members of the Fan Club can bring back their fan to other concerts and get other fun summer-themed gifts.

We’ll see you there!

Capitol Federal Park @ Sandstone

Capitol Federal Park at Sandstone opened its new doors in the summer of 2008 after a dramatic renovation and upgrade to the fan experience.  (The venue originally opened in 1984 as Sandstone Amphitheatre.)

Since becoming a part of this open-air performance venue in Bonner Springs, Capitol Federal has held several fun and engaging promotions.  In 2008, hundreds of rock star wannabes took a shot at our Rock Band Contest – vying for the top spot!

This summer we are offering a few lucky ones the opportunity to sit in VIP seating.  If you want to be upgraded by CapFed, be sure to find our booth and register.  We announce the winners on stage and put them in front of all the action.
