Capitol Federal Foundation
The Capitol Federal Foundation was established to benefit the communities in which Capitol Federal operates. The Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life in these communities by investing in the citizens of today and tomorrow. The main areas of focus for accomplishing this mission are education, affordable housing, the United Way and other charitable purposes.
Higher Education Scholarship Grants
Through grants provided by Capitol Federal Foundation, Capitol Federal established scholarship programs for business students at Emporia State University, Johnson County Community College, Kansas City Kansas Community College, Kansas State University, University of Kansas, Washburn University and Wichita State University. The programs recognize business students who are high school graduates from Capitol Federal market areas with a minimum 3.35 grade point average. The scholarships are renewable and will be awarded in their entirety annually.
"These schools are vital to their communities," states Foundation President Jack H. Hamilton, "and what better way to discover the future business leaders for those communities than by making scholarships available for their education. Our hope is to have these students develop leadership skills, so they can give back to their schools and communities -- both immediately and in the future. Leaders get the job done. They see the bigger picture and make things happen."
