Capitol Federal® Announces Promotion of Haag to General Counsel

TOPEKA, Kan. – John B. Dicus, Chairman of Capitol Federal® Savings Bank and Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. (CFFN), announces the appointment of Natalie Haag as Executive Vice President-General Counsel for the Bank and CFFN. “With this as a newly created position for the Bank and Holding Company,” remarked Chairman Dicus, “our search was extensive, and we are pleased to have retained an individual of Natalie’s caliber to fill the position.”
A member of the Kansas Bar since 1985 and licensed to practice law in all Kansas State and Federal Courts, she received her undergraduate degree in 1982 from Kansas State University and her Juris Doctorate in 1985 from Washburn University School of Law. For the past nine years, she served as the Associate General Counsel/Director of Governmental Affairs for the Security Benefit Corporation. Prior to that position, she worked with the State of Kansas, serving five of her seven years as General Counsel to the Governor. Her experience also includes eleven years in civil litigation and criminal prosecution in Cowley County, Wichita and Topeka.
A Leadership Kansas graduate, Haag volunteers for the Kansas Bar Association (KBA), Topeka Swim Association, Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence and the Supreme Court Nominating Commission. She has been honored with the KBA Outstanding Service Award and the Security Benefit Living the Values Award for Community Service.
