Capitol Federal's 117th Year of True Blue® Service

John B. Dicus, Chairman of Capitol Federal Savings Bank, Topeka, announced the retirement of executive vice president-chief lending officer Jack Huey, effective January 29, 2010.

Huey joined Capitol Federal on April 1, 1991 as the Bank’s Topeka Lending Operations Manager. In 2002, he was promoted to Chief Lending Officer, also serving as President of Capitol Funds, Inc. In January 2009, the Capitol Federal Financial shareholders elected Huey as a member of the Board. He continues in that capacity. Within the community, Huey served as board chairman of the YMCA Foundation, director for the YMCA of Topeka and director for the Better Business Bureau.

"The Capitol Federal board of directors and employees congratulate Jack on his retirement," remarked Dicus, "and we extend our sincere appreciation to Jack for his service to the Bank and its customers. Well respected by his peers and co-workers, his leadership qualities as Chief Lending Officer proved invaluable to the Bank. Jack's experience and excellent knowledge of the mortgage industry have been vital to the strength and growth of Capitol Federal. While he may be retiring from the Bank, we are happy he is remaining with us as a member of the Capitol Federal Financial board of directors."
