Capitol Federal's 119th Year of True Blue® Service
NEWS RELEASE
TOPEKA, KAN. – Through a grant provided by Capitol Federal Foundation, Capitol Federal donated $20,000 to the Topeka Community Foundation in support of the Harveyville Recovery Fund efforts.
Capitol Federal Chairman John B. Dicus said, “Within 35 miles of Topeka, Harveyville is a neighbor and a part of our Capitol Federal family. With the devastation brought on by the February 28 tornado, we wanted to do something to help our fellow Kansans rebuild their community. On behalf of Capitol Federal Foundation, the Bank and its employees, we hope this gift will make a difference in the lives of our Harveyville neighbors. Please know all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.”
“Our hearts go out to the residents of Harveyville," said Topeka Community Foundation President Roger Viola. “It is our privilege to work with this devastated community -- to provide funding to help them rebuild their town and their lives. We appreciate Capitol Federal’s generous support. Their contribution of $20,000 will provide substantial help to Harveyville during this difficult time.”
