August 9, 2012
Capitol Federal's 119th Year of True Blue® Service
TOPEKA, Kan. – Capitol Federal Chairman John B. Dicus announced Rhonda Dennis, First Vice President-Southern Region Branch Coordinator, as the 2011 recipient of the Bank’s highest recognition, the Henry A. Bubb Distinguished Service Award. This award, named in honor of Capitol Federal’s longtime Chairman, is presented annually to one employee or officer who demonstrates the leadership qualities of the late Mr. Bubb.
Dennis’ nomination stated, “Rhonda is respected by her staff and knows they can count on her guidance no matter the situation…She looks for development opportunities for her management team, both personally and professionally.”
For more than 20 years, Dennis has been a strong advocate and representative of the Bank. She is devoted to Capitol Federal and the Southern Region of Wichita, Emporia and Salina she serves. An important requirement to earning the prestigious Henry A. Bubb Award is community volunteerism. During her 23-year career with Capitol Federal, Dennis has truly led by example through the time and talents given to several organizations, including Goodwill Industries Easter Seals of Kansas, which honored her as Volunteer of the Year in 2009.
“In presenting the award,” concluded Capitol Federal Chairman John B. Dicus, “Rhonda’s commitment to the Bank and its customers is demonstrated daily, not only by the work and dedication she extends, but also by that of her staff. Their work is a reflection of her leadership, leadership containing the same characteristics put forth by Henry Bubb during his long, distinguished Capitol Federal career. The Capitol Federal board, senior management and all employees congratulate Rhonda on a job well done. Henry Bubb would applaud the selection of Rhonda Dennis to receive the award named in his honor.”
