Capitol Federal's 120th Year of True Blue® Service
TOPEKA, Kan. - John B. Dicus, Chairman of Capitol Federal® Savings Bank, Topeka, announces the forthcoming retirement of executive vice president Joe Aleshire, effective September 30, 2013. “It is with both joy and regret,” states Dicus, “that I announce the retirement of Joe Aleshire following his more than 40 years of service to Capitol Federal and its customers. With the distinction of having served in all three regions, Eastern, Southern and Central, he provided management a greater understanding of our market areas. He also served in both the Lending and Retail Divisions. His leadership qualities, experience and knowledge of all functions of the bank have been instrumental to the financial growth of the Bank, its communities and its customers.”
Aleshire provided strong Capitol Federal representation within each of the Bank’s market areas, serving on several boards and committees for organizations. In both Wichita and Topeka, he served the area Chambers of Commerce and the United Way of the Plains and United Way of Greater Topeka, both as Campaign Chair and Board Chair. He was the first to serve as Chair of the Via Christi Health System in Wichita, after serving as Board Chair for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
With Aleshire’s retirement, Senior Vice President Frank H. Wright IV was named his successor. “This is a very smooth and strong transition for the leader of the Retail Services Division,” remarked Dicus, “as Frank also has been with the Bank for more than 40 years. Frank and Joe have worked closely as a team to further serve customers through the Bank’s branch network and online services.” A 1973 University of Kansas graduate, Wright joined the Bank in 1970, serving in several positions prior to being promoted to senior vice president-retail banking and electronic banking in 1996. He is a member of the Fiserv Mobiliti Advisory Group and FIS Miser Bank Advisory Board.
Active in his community and service to his country, Wright is a Retired Colonel, Field Artillery, Kansas Army National Guard and Reserves of the U.S. Army. Wright was awarded the U.S. Army Legion of Merit and U.S. Army Field Artillery Ancient Order of St. Barbara. For the Boy Scouts, he serves as a board member of the Heart of America Council, awarded the Silver Beaver in 2004 and Presiding Chieftain 2011, Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
