NEWS RELEASE

John B. Dicus, Chairman of Capitol Federal Savings, Topeka, recently announced the retirement of Sue Francis on December 30th.  She has served the Bank for more than 34 years.  A Salina native, Francis joined Capitol Federal as a teller supervisor on August 29, 1977.  During her many years of service, Francis held positions in both the retail and lending areas.  She served as customer service representative, loan processor, and most recently, as loan processor/closing assistant for both the Capitol Federal Salina and Emporia offices.

"Sue is a truly valuable employee, one we and our customers will miss," remarked Salina vice president-branch manager Jodi Feist.  "To have served Capitol Federal and its customers for more than 34 years is quite an achievement, and we all are proud of her.  We certainly have been lucky to have had Sue on our team."

An open house honoring Francis will be held on Thursday, December 29th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Capitol Federal branch at 2550 SW 9th Street.
