Capitol Federal's 119th Year of True Blue® Service
Capitol Federal Savings renewed its partnership with Highland Park Central Elementary School for a 16th year during a ceremony at the school on Friday, October 7th. Through the Partner in Education agreement, first signed in 1996, Capitol Federal employees volunteer to read with students and tutor them in various subjects. Volunteers also help with other school events throughout the year. Capitol Federal volunteer and liaison with the school, Trevin James, and Highland Park Central Principal Cleo Gardner signed the agreement with students, faculty and volunteer representatives on hand to witness the event.
"Capitol Federal employees truly enjoy the rewards of this continuing partnership with Highland Park Central. Seeing the students' progress toward their goals is a great opportunity," said James. "Helping the coming generations achieve at a high level is essential to a solid foundation for the future of the community."
Mr. Gardner expressed his gratitude to Capitol Federal and its employees, "Capitol Federal’s commitment to our students and their educational progress is incredibly valuable. We truly appreciate all Capitol Federal does for our school and our community.”
